Information Technology Director, Adjunct Faculty, Yale University School of Drama, 1998 – present

Current Projects

  • Financial System – Project manager, programmer; used at Yale School of Drama for recording and reporting on financial transactions and budgeting; migrated existing group of Microsoft Access databases to unified SQL server database with MS Access client front-ends; supervise project team with two developers; develop and implement table design; assess existing business requirements and processes;  designed data structure; implemented project management and incident tracking system; on-going maintenance and expansion of the applications; manage user base of 50+ staff, faculty, and students. 1999 – present
  • On-line Course Evaluation System — Project manager, programmer; A school-wide course evaluation system for the Yale School of Drama; built with PHP programming language and MYSQL database; designed data structure; programmed SQL queries and PHP-based web forms; developed course evaluation forms with department chairs; trained administrative users; perform on-going maintenance and upgrades. Beta launch Fall 2005, full school launch Fall 2006. In Fall 2006 overall course response rate of 86% — estimated savings of 200 hours annually in administrative staff time — timely distribution of final evaluations to faculty and department chairs.
  • On-line Audio Archive — Developer, project manager; Live web site utilizing Drupal open-source content management system; Archive is used by faculty in school’s dialect coaching program to provide students with a library of dialect audio examples to support class work and professional acting assignments; researched and tested software programs; developed and implemented on-line audio archive system; conducted student training; work with faculty members in ongoing work to further development and capabilities of system. Beta launch Fall 2006.
  • Tessitura customer relationship management system — School’s project manager, develop reports, trainer; Served on project committee to select software system for use at 4 Yale units; worked on implementation of chosen system for School of Drama including software set-up, data conversion and user training; develop reports utilizing Microsoft Access and SQL server software; lead staff in marketing, fundraising and ticket sales department staff to identify and solve issues, and expand use of system. System launched August 2005.
