Rhizome ArtBase

While in NYC this week for a 2 day PHP class, I ran over to see this exhibit of Internet-based artwork:

Rhizome ArtBase 101

I enjoyed the exhibit, although I was a little disappointed to find that the displays weren’t hooked up live to the Internet. It struck me as odd to see Internet-based artwork in a gallery where they weren’t connected to the Internet. This one was not in the exhibit, but it is from the www.rhizome.org site and is live:

Live or not the artwork offers creative interpretations of technology and all its various aspects, which can help inform the humdrum, everyday stuff we geeks get engaged in.

Digg!
