Adobe CS3

I’ve been looking forward to getting the new Adobe CS3. And now that I’ve spent a day and a half hearing the folks from Adobe highlight all the new features and improvements, I’m even eager to get it. A couple of highlights for me include:
- overall integration of tools, menu styles, etc. between all the applications, including the former Macromedia ones. For instance you can open a Photoshop file in the other applications, preserving layers, access to effects, etc.
- Spry framework integration in Dreamweaver
- Better CSS positioning support in Dreamweaver
- Contribute as an editing front end for a Wordpress Blog
- Acrobat’s new commenting features — lets you distribute a pdf, solicit comments and see those on your original document as they come in. You can even comment on a video file, with comments keyed to the specific timecode in the video.
- Photoshop extended can be used to edit video, basically doing anything you can do with static images.
And they had a DJ and a poet to introduce the various corporate talking heads — you know Adobe’s cool!
