Re-edit YouTube and Google Video
Here’s a service that looks pretty useful. It promises that you can start with a video off of sites like YouTube or Google video, and re-edit it adding your own captions and other elements. Its certainly an exciting idea in the whole user-generated/re-mix culture area. And would be a great way to extract elements from a video and add comments for an education/commentary setting.
Our patent pending Cutlist technology controls how video is played back and allows for easy creation of new experiences from existing videos without altering the original source. We are focused on developing the simplest way to create and share your version utilizing the amazing quality and breadth of media already available and being created everyday. What kind of changes can I make to a video?
Broadly, we call the changes you can make “Edits”. There are a many tools available (with more to come).
* Insert sound effects :: such as mute (turns off the video’s
soundtrack), baby cry, crowd laugh, booooo, car crash, and many many
others
* Add captions :: use this to say whatever you want whenever you want
* Mark skips :: cut out scenes you don’t want to see
* Set up loops :: repeat memorable moments
Best of all these Edits can be combined. So for a given moment you can
concurrently mute the original audio, play a few sound effects, and say
something via caption. Pretty cool and easy.
