RSS going Mobile

Starting tomorrow I’ll be commuting into work on the commuter train.  I’m giving myself two months of forced exile from my car, to see if I can make mass transit work for me.  Now this opportunity was somewhat thrust upon me after my 16 year old totaled my new Volvo (he’s OK — no injuries), but I decided to do my wallet and the environment a favor and hold off on replacing the car for a while.

I haven’t found most web sites very easy to browse with the Blackberry — overall it’s a pretty unsatisfying experience.  But when reading RSS feeds its pretty good.  There are a couple of free RSS readers available, although I’ve been a long time user of the commercial RSS reader FeedDemon, and so decided to give their NewsGator Go! product a try.  So far it looks pretty good, and I’ll probably spring for the $29.95 cost — its a good company with good products and I like supporting their work.  But I’ll give it a couple more days to test in the real commuting environment.
