The 2-14 NYTs’ style has a great real life story if one mom”s effort to get her family using twitter. Haven”t caught the twitter buzz yet? Where have you been? Anyhow she gives it a try, they all humor for a while, and eventually tell her she needs to get out more. And without twittering about it.

As she puzzles through their disinterest she is told ‘people embrace social media…to create identities for themselves. And her use of twitter isn’t doing that for them. Too bad - at first I was ready to get my family using twitter. But I’m sure their reaction would be the same. It is also a good cautionary tale for business or educational uses as well. You can’t force these things, even with people who love you.
