Late August through the end of September is by far the absolute busiest time of the year for me. Between the school year beginning at Yale, the kids going back to school, and everything else life is just nuts. So I’m sorry to say that my regular blogs will be somewhat irregular until things quiet down.
Much of the discussion on the role of technology in teaching seems stuck on the concept of “improving teaching with technology.” But is a teaching using Powerpoint for their lecture really much better than using the blackboard? The real focus needs to be on “enhancing learning with technology.” In this case the focus is on the learner instead of the teacher — better, no?
