At an Event Apart

I’m here in the big apple for two days of web design wisdom — and so far its pretty good.  If nothing else it is fun to see and hear Zeldman and Meyer, who’s books I own, in the flesh.  And actually it has been more than than, and frankly so far better than I expected.  I’d definitely recomment the event to a friend.

My PHP journey

So I think my talk at the NYPHP meeting. At least no one seemed to fall asleep, and there was a good Q & A session at the end. Here is a summary of my presentation:

WHY PHP?

I started fooling around with WordPress, digging into the files, and discovered this strange code mixed in with the familiar HTML. It looked like fun, and I figured out it could help me better configure and work with Wordpress. Read the rest of this entry »
