Today I updated my WordPress version to the latest 2.0. The process was a bit of a pain, but the upgrade instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There are a couple of cool new features — I especially like the ability to add new categories when creating a post. In the old version you had to exit your post, go add a new category, and then go back to your post. Especially cool are a bunch of AJAX features that allow for dynamic menus and other cool stuff — I gotta learn how that is done!
And I also found a very neat new Firefox extension that makes blogging about something very easy. Wordpress has its own little ‘Press it hot button which sits on my tool bar and does pretty much the same thing. But this firefox extension will work with multiple blogs and offers a richer feature set, like drag and drop image links. Just one more good reason to kick the IE habit and come over to FireFox!
