Lately I’ve been noticing more and more of my collegues using LinkedIn. It helps that my Xobni outlook plugin now identifies email senders who have LinkedIn accounts. Tools that help connect things together are very useful! And it helps me build my own LinkedIn contact list. I’m still not quite sure what is useful about LinkedIn, but connections with organizations like CNBC and BusinessWeek magazine open up some interesting ideas.
I tend not to use Facebook so much because I have to go to my site to use it. If I have LinkedIn capabilities available as a component of websites I frequently use, in my email, on my blog, and elsewhere it becomes much more useful to me.
