• Publishing-Community Tool

    One of my many projects is a press release web tool for the Yale Drama School. I’ve almost finished hacking something together in WordPress. The WP content management features have interested me since I first started using it, and I think it will work pretty well for this purpose.

    But it ain’t perfect. I’ve been poking around in the PHP code a little to see what I can customize, but frankly its a pretty big task. Keith Robinson has a post where he offers his ideas on just this issue. His hackable tool of choice is Movable Type. I certainly agree with him on Drupal — it sounds good but seem to need a lot of work to bring it in line.

    The Perfect Publishing + Community Tool

    CivicSpace has been on my to-explore list for a while, since I met the founder at a conference over the summer. Their software is built on top of Drupal, and is available for download:
