I am looking forward to a great summer, with a couple of nice trips planned as well as some business travel. But I realize that I won’t be able to keep up my normal volume of posts. My current plan is to start to mix in some ‘encore’ highlights from past years — after all I’ve got 5 years of material and expect I can find at least a couple worth revisiting. But it is also an opportunity to give you loyal readers a chance to write a guest post or two.
So how about it? Interested in trying your hand at blogging but not sure where to start? Maybe you have an idea or two you’d like to share, but not enough for a regular blog of your own? Got a new toy/gadget and want to share your impressions with others? Well I’m happy to give you a soap box to pitch your story. It is fun to watch the growth of traffic around the blog. At this point, according to the blog stats, weekday traffic averages between 40 and 70 visitors (200 – 300+ per week), with spikes up over 300 in a day. Maybe not in the big boys league, but not bad for the ramblings of one lone tech guy. There are also 30 – 40 subscribers to the newsletter, which all together is pretty impressive crowd (thanks everyone for taking the time to visit!).
If this sounds of interest post a comment here or drop an email to rrode@snet.net . If we’ve met in person no big application is needed — just give me the word. If we haven’t met please just give a brief introduction, and what you’re interested in writing about. Depending on how many (if any) takers I get I’ll probably try to put together a rough schedule to prevent a ton of posts in one week and none in another — but otherwise it can all be pretty loose.
