• Teens not Twitter fans

    As the father of two teen boys I can attest that they have no interest in twitter or email for that matter.  But then again is that such a surprise?  They live and communicate for the most part in their own private, evolving teen world.  And as they mature through their college years and then into the working world their attitudes and methods of giving and receiving information — how they communicate — will mature along with them.

  • Mind Mapping and other visual thinking

    A picture is worth a thousand words — and sometimes even a thousand words aren’t enough to get a point across. An awful lot of discourse in our culture is text based — blogging, twitter, text messaging, email, most powerpoints, white papers, check lists — all text based.  But text is not the only way to organize and explain ideas.

  • WordPress Mobile resources

    In web site testing designers customarily view the page in various flavors of Internet Explorers, Firefox and Safari on both Windows and Mac operating systems.  But are mobile browsers on your list?  With the rapid rise in mobile usage they need to be.  With a WordPress site there are a number of plug-ins that will fast-track the mobile version of your site.  On this blog I use MobilePress, which I’ve been very happy with.  Check out the Weblog Tools post listed below for more ideas and go mobile!
