Ean Jackson’s personal journey post offers a good overview of the progress of HTML over the last 10 years. And I stronly agree with his “don’t go it alone” advice for a web 2.0 website. The days of the one-person webmaster wearing the graphic design, layout, programmer hats are fading for all but the smallest sites. But luckily the rise of open source software packages like Drupal, WordPress combined with services like flickr or del.icio.us can help.
