The need for user videos seems to grow and grow. If you are looking for an integrated, open source, video solution, this new offering is yet one more reason to consider a WordPress MU installation. And don’t be limited by thinking of this as a standard blog-farm type of model. For instance this could power a course instructional site, with individual class sites hosting lecture videos or other faculty-supplied video resources. Or maybe a public school site aimed at prospective students, with each department able to load information videos into their respective department areas. How about a site for a book publishers, with author videos accompanying dedicated sites for the books in the catalog? Any of these would be a great case to be WordPressMu powered, providing a lot of interesting functionality for relatively little development time (at least relative to a custom, one-off, website design.)
